New Zealand are into the finals as they thrashed South Africa in a one sided encounter in Kolkata. The match was expected to be very competitive, but Fin Allen’s magic absolutely destroyed the Proteas. Apart from him New Zealand bowlers also did a fantastic job to help New Zealand secure a victory.

Both the teams came to Eden Garden with a home to make into finals. After winning the toss, New Zealand asked South Africa to bat first. Proving the Satanners'  decision right, Cole McConchie grabbed 2 wickets in the second over. After early strikes, New Zealand couldn't recover, but the late fireworks from Marco Jansen helped the team get to 169 for 8. For South Africa, Jansen scored 55 runs off 33 balls, and Dewald Brevis contributed 34 runs to put the team to a respectable total.

The score looked challenging but Fin Allen and Tim Seifert made mockery of the South African bowlers as New Zealand chased 170 in just 12.5 overs. Fin Alen made a record of the fastest century in the T20i world cup history as he scored not out 100 off just 33 balls. Moreover, Tim Seifert scored 58 runs off 33 balls and he managed to make the match one sided in the powerplay itself.
